Ahuramazdan: Pax Iranica

New life begins in Farvardin or Spring with the singularity. After the six months it is made into a reality by the Good Deed of Shahrivar or Virgo.

On the seventh month, the identity has to learn to share with other identities, in order to increase or become more.

"1+1= 2"

The words "More", "Mehr", "Mir" or the Latin "Mithra" all mean to add with a contract.

The singular becomes more. But the operation or the operator is what makes it more.

The same concept attracts two single people to Love.

The two will be balanced and as such Libra is created in Latin.

We become a social being as we respect the law that binds us all.

The Ahuramazdans pronounced the Mehr Yasht in the Zend-Avesta orally from 20,000 years ago when they entered the Iranian Plateau from Africa:

"Like all texts of the Avesta, the Mihr Yašt belongs to an oral culture of ritual poetry whose roots reach back to the prehistoric Indo-Iranian civilization. The god praised in this hymn—miθra-, whose Vedic cognate is mitrá-—is inherited from the Proto-Indo-Iranian culture, in which Mitra emerged as a deity embodying the notion of ‛contract.’ "

This is one of the oldest oral and written documents we share with the people of India.

"Although in the Rigveda only one hymn (RV 3.59) is dedicated to him alone, he frequently appears coupled with other gods, and especially the deity Varuṇa, with whom his name forms the dvandva compound mitráváruṇā “Mitra and Varuṇa,” a pair of gods praised in several hymns. The Avestan equivalents of the compound are the dvandvas miθra.ahura (Yt. 10.113, 145) and ahura.miθra (Y. 1.11, 2.11), with ahura replacing váruṇa- in the Vedic compound. The earliest attestation of the names Mitra and Varuṇa is an oath formula in a 14th century BCE treaty between the Hittite and Mitanni kings (Kuzmina, 2007, p. 133)."

The Ahuramazdans that wrote Mehr Yashts, did not allow it to be written for thousands of years, in case the purity and soul of the words would not be felt. It was pronounced and handed down "seeneh be seeneh" (chest to chest). All Ahuramazdans sang it and as such knew it.

Some of the very basic Ahuramazdan concepts of law and order, that formed the foundation of modern society, were derived from Mithraism, that eventually became Christianity itself.

The planet that rules Mehr and the 7th House is Venus. It's job is to unite. It's exhalted in its ability to reconcile everthing. It teaches us to be humble to Ahuramazda. This concept is the oldest in our Indo-European heritage and it is found in the Holy Rigveda of India.

Cultural unity based on humility and law was cultivated and affirmed by Ahuramazdan Cyrus the Great, as written in Cyropaedia of Xenophon. Later he produced the Declaration of Human Rights:

"I took up my lordly abode in the royal palace amidst rejoicing and happiness. Marduk, the great lord, /established as his fate or me a magnanimous heart of one who loves Babylon, and I daily attended to his worship."

"My vast army marched into Babylon in peace; I did not permit anyone to frighten the people of [Sumer] /and\ Akkad"

"I relieved their weariness and freed them from their service."

The peace and love of Ahuramazdan Cyrus the Great was preserved in the Old Testament.

"Cyrus is mentioned some twenty-three times in the literature of the Old Testament. Isaiah refers to Cyrus as Jehovah’s “shepherd,” the Lord’s “anointed,” who was providentially appointed to facilitate the divine plan. God would lead this monarch to “subdue nations” and “open doors” (an allusion to the Jews’ release from Babylonian captivity). He would make “rough places smooth,” i.e., accommodate the Hebrews’ return to their Palestinean homeland. He would ultimately be responsible for the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the reconstruction of the temple."

Ahuramazdan: Work

In Persian we refer to it as "the running of Shahr". In English, the word "Shire", and in Persian the word Shahr, are very old words, yet very similar, that have quietly remained.

Ahuramazdans knew what it meant to carry out work, clean and efficiently. They followed the creed that "Heaven was on Earth". The dictum Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds, was probably written by a person born as a Virgo or Shahrivar. Civilization is definitely very Virgo.

Whatever was thought of, had to have practical implications. As such they were scientific in their outlook. Every aspect of their life was looked at in great detail. The smaller elements were scrutinized and examined in more detail. The result was labelled and classified. Observation and record keeping were their tools. Try spoiling the Earth, Water, Air or Fire and you would get told off.

In Astrology Shahrivar is ruled by Asteroids and that act like a mesh and the dark side of Mercury. The interstellar debris that is being drawn to Jupiter, can only reach Earth, after it had made through the Asteroid belt. Mercury is practical and is exahlted in Bahman. The shy side of Mercury later became the pure Virgin and the name of the sign in western Astrology.

Shahrivar energy is modest yet descerning. It's ability to separate and catagorise, gets it involved with scientific work for the benefit and nourishment of mankind efficiently. Ahuramazdans knew that only when their thoughts have been shared within humanity in a practical manner do they matter. This approach in not idealistic at all. It needs detailed real evidence that can be recreated all the time. There are no illusions. The Sharivar Asteroids carried out duties without question.

The name Avesta comes from Vesta the Asteroid nourishing the Fire. Ceres was the protector of nourishment and nurturing. Juno would carry out the legal duties. Finally Pallas Athena would be the builder. These were doers and did not have the cardinal qualities of planets. As such Shahrivar run the town and its services. They noted what is paid for and administrated. They were the civil servants and worked for government. Everything was carefully noted in detail. This has remained for thousands of years in our ancient writing since 3000 BC.

Ahuramazdan: Heritage

"When Minochihr and Afrasyab determined to make peace and to fix the boundary between Iran and Turan, 'it was stipulated that Arish should ascend Mount Damavand, and from thence discharge an arrow towards the east; and that the place in which the arrow fell should form the boundary between the two kingdoms."

http://www.avesta.org/tiragan.htm

For a long time, many scholars cannot understand why the word Tir that means arrow should be used as a name of the first month of the Summer.

Ironically they point to the Star Sirius. But because they have no knowledge of Astrology, they get it wrong.

They elaborate further but it is not quite right:

Tiragan is also associated with the legend of the arrow ('tir'), which is briefly alluded to in the Teshtar Yasht (Yt8.6):

"We honor the bright, khwarrah-endowed star Tishtrya who flies as swiftly to the Vouru-kasha sea as the supernatural arrow which the archer Erexsha, the best archer of the Iranians, shot from Mount Airyo-xshutha to Mount Xwanwant. (7) For Ahura Mazda gave him assistance; so did the waters ..."
http://www.avesta.org/ka/yt8sbe.htm

The Ahuramazdans were quite subtle and very precise in using the word Tir meaning arrow. They had to tie the meanings associated with land, home, heritage, to a very powerful time in the Astrological calendar.

All Astrologers and those born in Azar or Sagittarius know about the Archer. The word archer itself is derived from Arash Kamangir.

In Astrology we have various planets that rule each of the twelve months. For example the Moon rules Cancer or Tir. Saturn rules Capricorn. Sun rules Leo. Each of these planets will be very powerful in certain signs. For example the Sun is exhalted in Aries or Farvardin.

Now this is where the connection to the word Tir comes from. The month or the sign Azar is ruled by Jupiter. But Jupiter or the Centaur is exhalted in Cancer or Tir.

The most important time to settle the border dispute between Iran and Turan, was when Jupiter or the Centaur was in Tir. Iranians knew that Arash Kamangir would stand the best chance at that time. Both nations agreed that the larger celestial forces would settle matters related to heritage better. So wherever the arrow or tir would fall would be approved by the Universe.

And so it was on the Summer Solstice when Jupiter was exhalted in Tir conjunct with the Sun that Iran's borders were established. Or if you are into Chinese astrology it is when there is the year of the horse. Again the similarity to Centaur is there. This phenomenon happens once every twelve years. The last one was in 2014. The Ahuramazdans knews when the best time is for Iran to preserve its heritage. That is why it has lasted so long.

The real significance of Jupiter in Cancer is best described as the ability to rise above petty details and look at the larger emotional perspective to life. It emphasises the role of the land and the mother. All sensible nurturing qualities of our culture are expanded. The moral and philosophical values are put into real emotional and historical situations. Meaning in family and national matters become paramount. Powerful intuitive feelings are created to give the all important sense of belonging. In extreme cases xenophobia can develop. In short the motherland is at the heart of Tirgan.

Ahuramazdan: Identity

In Haftseen we Iranians create our little universe of nature, as we identify with the seven unique elements of life in our New Year. Each element is associated to an Ahuramazdan astrological universal force that always exists.

In Avestan it is called "Amesha Sepanta". In Persian we say "Hamisheh vojut dareh". We had seven Amesha Sepantas. The four elements: Fire, Earth, Air and Water, plus animals, plants and humans.

Later when all was lost, the language was destroyed, but the meanings remained as Haftseen. The words Amesha Sepanta was reduced to the letter S.

In Astrology we have the basic four elements representing basic four types of signs.

There are three Fire signs: Farvardin (Aries), Amordad (Leo), Azar (Sagittarius).

There are three Earth signs: Ordibehesht (Taurus), Shahrivar (Virgo), Day (Capricorn).

There are three Air signs: Khordad (Gemini), Mehr (Libra), Bahman (Aquarius).

There are three Water signs: Tir (Cancer), Aban (Scorpio), Esfand (Pisces).

In Iran we all celebrate Knowrooz (my spelling of Nowruz). But not one Iranian, knows the Astrological meanings, behind Farvardin. It is just the first month of the year.

"Chi migi baba? Avalin maheh saleh. Be setareha che rapt dareh, Ali agha? Bazam shoroo kardi. Ajaba!"

(WTF are you saying man? It's the first month of the year. What's it got to do with the stars, Ali? Here you go again. OMG!)

Most people in the world know what Astrology is. Most people know what an Aries is. But not one person knows, that for thousands of years, it was called Farvardin, before being called Aries.

The original Astrological meanings, were written by the "1st Magi" or Zoroaster. Zoroaster himself was an Ahuramazdan, as he spoke to Ahuramazda and was taught what "the human purpose" is.

The history of Iran, has been constantly rewritten, everytime we were invaded. The new regime, would do whatever it could do, to totally obliterate art or philosophy of the old regime.

But Iran and its Ahuramazdan principles were never lost. Their is a unique identity to Iran and Ahuramazda. The identity is based on the calendar. The time at which the first day of spring is calculated, is what makes Iranian mathematics the best.

Every Iranian identifies with the Spring Vernal Equinox. That unique moment is the most powerful moment in Astrology. Iranians celebrate it from the exact moment. And I mean the split second it happens. That is what unites our unique identity. This Spring 80 million Iranians counted down the beginning of Spring. And no one ever stood in the way.

The ability to identify ourselves, is what makes our society. Faravar Din means the spiritual root of Din. Din is not religion. It is the highest point. It is related to Day or Capricorn. It is the High Noon or Mid-Heaven. Mars the ruler of Aries is exhalted in Capricorn. So action or Aries is most powerful when it creates or acts to make its future in society.

Ahuramazda speak to Zoroaster in the Zend-Avesta's Farvardin Yasht in 1:1. Ahuramazda needs help to create heaven on earth. The human being is respected as an identity, to carry out the will of Ahuramazda, as an Ahuramazdan.

"Ahura Mazda spake unto Spitama Zarathushtra, saying: 'Do thou proclaim, O pure Zarathushtra! the vigour and strength, the glory, the help and the joy that are in the Fravashis of the faithful, the awful and overpowering Fravashis; do thou tell how they come to help me, how they bring assistance unto me, the awful Fravashis of the faithful."

Ahuramazda states that he creates the brightness of the stars for a good reason in 1:2:

"Through their brightness and glory, O Zarathushtra! I maintain that sky, there above, shining and seen afar, and encompassing this earth all around."

Iranians celebrate the first day of Spring because the days get longer. It is when nature is reborn and light over powers darkness. It is when he starts his work in the beginning of Spring.

The month is split into the four spheres of existence.

The first seven days celebrate Ahura Mazda and the Amesha Spentas, (lit. Beneficent Immortals) sometimes called the Archangels. They are the highest spiritual beings created by Ahura Mazda.

Ahuramazdan Concepts

Most of the reason behind the creation of Ahuramazdan was to incorporate the wisdom of Astrology into Zoroastrianism.

A traditional Zoroastrian does not like Astrology. Some families forbid it.

An Ahuramazdan respects the choice he or she makes according to the various angles the planets are making to each other.

I have spent many years looking at the angles of planets to each other. They have been shown to correlate very well the mood of people. The best test the stock markets.

Just look at http://stockstars.blogspot.com.

I also spent many years looking at the effect of the Moon.

Look at http://iranastrology.blogspot.com

One of the most important questions we Iranians have is:

"Who created The Zend-Avesta?" We know that Zoroaster wrote the chapter called Gathas. But who were the authors of the other chapters?

But what is an more important question is:

"What do we call the people who wrote all the chapters of The Zend-Avesta?"

My answer is that he or she must have been an Ahuramazdan. So if you want to reach out to an old Iranian spirit that is older than Zoroaster, you know what to ask for. He or she would be an Ahuramazdan.

An Ahuramazdan will be looking at and respecting all the chapters of The Zend-Avesta.

The Ahuramazdans who wrote the whole of The Zend-Avesta wrote about concepts that are not in Gathas. They are much older. They write about concepts that did not make sense to a monotheist.

Most of the older parts of the The Zend-Avesta than Gathas talk of two forces.

An Ahuramazdan sees himself or herself as having the right to chose. We know that in Astrology there are always plenty of choices available.

An Ahuramazdan knows that the choices change in time. There is no absolute eternal never changing truth for all. In contrast different choices are being created all the time. Each moment is special.

The Ahuramazdans referred to these choices as Gozinesh in The Zend-Avesta. Ahuramazda gave us the freedom to choose. The Ahuramazdan wisdom invented Astrology to map out space and time.

I looked at the wonderful angles and thought why not create Ahuramazdan now.

But you ask an Iranian:

"Baraye Iran chi chi mohemtar ast?" (What is the most important for Iran?)

"Democracy"

The answer is not the word "Gozineshi".  No one ever think of Ahuramazda or The Zend-Avesta. They will be thinking of great European philosophers who wrote about democracy. They think that it all started there.

Again it is like many concepts that began in Iran and have never been given credit. Tell a Greek that Iranians wrote about gozineshi well before any Greek, and he will go mad.

So an Ahuramazdan will have the task of constantly having to rewrite the existing history of the world to include the Iranian version. But speaking in terms of Ahuramazdan history one can mention concepts that were at the root of all the people who lived in the Iranian Plateau. A lot of these concepts are much older than Iran itself.

In terms of space and time, there are parts of The Zend-Avesta that deal to places and times outside the planet Earth.

Ahuramazdan

I have been for a long time writing about Iranian Astrology and Iranian Current Affairs.

In my writings I have had to show that many of the concepts of ancient Iran are called Zoroastrian.

The word "Zoroastrian" is based on labelling the thoughts of Iranians from the moment we stepped into the Iranian Plateau.

The people who labelled ancient Iranian philosophy "Zoroastrian" were born thousands of years after Iranians. They belonged to new Abrahamic religions.

These Jewish, Christian, and Moslem scholars looked for a single religious leader to be the name of their religion.

Ask any secular Iranian "are you religious" and most will tell you that they are spiritual or secular. They will not tell you that they are Jewish, Christian or Moslem.

But if you ask an Iranian, do you like the idea of Good Thoughts, he or she will agree. And so there lies the root of Iranian attitude.

All Iranians like the ancient idea of Good Thoughts leading to Good Words, that will lead to Good Deeds. They will agree that their ancestors built Iran to make it the "Heaven on Earth".

A Good force or freedom exists to help us be free all the time to exist and have free will. The wisdom that we need is the greatest thought or Ahuramazda.

If you like the concept of the wisest thought then you are an Ahuramazdan.

Zoroaster was an Ahuramazdan.
